We don't yet know the gender of the baby, but we're excited either way. We're kind of hoping for a boy, but a girl would bring immense joy also. I go back and forth on what I would like first. I'd love for our oldest to be a boy so that he could look out for all the other children, but girls are (generally) so precious and sweet that it's hard not to want something like that in our lives.
We're also not selecting a name until the child comes. We don't love the idea of calling an unborn child by a name because what happens if the child comes and the name doesn't fit well? We've got names that we like, but we won't settle on a name until the baby is born.
In terms of school and work, that's going to be an adjustment, but everyone always tells us that there's no convenient time to have a child, so now's as good as ever. I'll be busy with school and work, but luckily with Kaylee's job, she could take the child with her to the preschool/daycare.
